STEM projects naturally involve experimentation, iteration, and sometimes—failure. And that's a good thing. This type of flow state is deeply therapeutic and helps children regulate their emotions. STEM education, when inclusive and diverse, fosters a strong sense of belonging. Belonging is a cornerstone of emotional resilience because it combats isolation and reinforces self-worth.
